A nice stormy day while hiking, when the sky began to open up.
Superstition Dust Storm
Heavy winds and lots of dust choke down the landscape through out the valley. Visibility was pretty limited, creating a pretty surreal landscape.
Came across a bunch of blooms while hiking through a canyon close to sunset. The shadows were growing long and the sound from the water gave for such a relaxing sight.
Old Man of Bartlett
I came across this huge, monsterous cactus while hiking around Bartlett Lake. What an amazing saguaro. It's size was enormous. The things this old man must have seen in its time, only one can imagine.
Dreamy Draw Hike
A hike through the Dreamy Draw park in Arizona. A nice hot day, with some interesting clouds. I wound up climbing to the top of this summit.

I love when storms roll through the desert, everything seems to come alive, anticipating some rain perhaps.

The Rocky Path
Exploring the desert is always an amazing thing. Discovering new things, seeing sights you may never see again. Such an amazing feeling, this mountain in particular as I came across it.
Blooms of Rain
The sky opens up after a good deal of rain. Another wave of dark clouds approaches.
So many amazing hues that paint the landscapes in the Petrified Forest of Arizona. A place that left me truly in awe.
Salt RIver Dust
A very windy and dusty day. Visibility was much worse earlier in the day. I was riding through on my way to Saguaro lake when the dust covering the buttes in the background caught my eye.
Trail of Hills
An amazing windy hike on this day. Lots of dust earlier made for an interesting blue sky. The sun was barely starting to go down adding to a nice shadowy hill side.
Trail Sun Light
Following the trail on a dusty, sunny day, sure creates an amazing looking sky. A contrasted play of shadows and lights spring forth in the desert, revealing many interesting details, usually well hidden.
There's always some amazing sight to see that's just right over the hill you just climbed up over.
Saguaro's of the Hill
Something about the desert that always brings a smile on my face. Finding a large group of saguaro cactus on the other side of the hill was a neat surprise. Now, I wonder what lays beyond the next hill.
Hiking through the desert always has some delight to be seen, no matter where you are. Something special is just around the corner.
Storm on the Basin
Watching a strom roll through the basin sure can be exciting, the grass whipping back and forth, the smell of wet dirt in the air, and the remaining plants seem to come alive, welcoming the rain.
Doing some hiking during a storm, which started to clear out pretty quickly. Found myself in this nice area to enjoy the clouds before I began hiking more.

Found this cactus blooming in the forest with the remains of some poor unfortunate creature scattered all about.
